My ambitions 11:13 PM


When I was young, I had always dreamt to be a skateboarder. I wish to be a skateboarder because I love doing stunts with the skateboard. It looks fun to me. I love to try out new sports such as this because all I saw so far are boys who participate in ths sports but not girls. One day, a girl will surely show boys that girls too know how to ride a skateboard by participating in a competition. This is my story about how I started skateboarding. One day when I was passing by a shop, I saw some boys who were skateboarding and were doing many awesome stunts. I was amazed by their stunts that they had done and that is when I started to like skateboarding. I went to ask my father to buy for me a skateboard but he did not want to as if I were to ride the skateboard without knowing the basic, I would fall down and hurt myself. I was disappointed at that time so I went into my room to coll myself down by playing computer games. After a while, I approached my father again and bet with him. I bet him, if I were to passed my PSLE, he would have to buy me a skateboard and he said alright. The day I have been waiting for had arrived, my PSLE results are going to be out soon and I can't wait. When my form teacher called out my name, I became nervous and went up to her. She gave me the result slip and congratulated me saying that I passed my exams. I was shocked but happy. I went home happily and when my mum opened the door, she asked if I passed my examination, I pretended to be and gave her the result slip. She was smiling while seeing the results and congratulated me. I went to call my father and told him to buy me a skateboard as I had passed my exam. When my father came home from work, he gave me a new, nice skateboard. I was so happy, I thanked him so much and practise skateboarding. At first, I was scared of falling but after a while I grasped the basics and tried to do stunts with the skateboard.
